Where You Start Your Elopement Planning Journey Matters

You can call me your creative guide or your friend, either way I’ll always look out for you. Starting on Day 1.

As your photographer, it’s important to me that you have an experience that lets you slow down with intention. To take each part of the planning stage in.

So I’ll be ready to offer gentle creative direction and planning support throughout this process, so you’re not left wondering what to wear, where the good photo locations are, or how to pose (especially if you’ve never posed before) all on your own.

I’m here to take amazing photos while you get to enjoy your day without worrying about the logistics. Nothing beats having a great, worry-free time and still end up with tangible memories that feel timeless and true.

Whether you're hiking up to a mountain overlook or sharing a picnic by the coast, I’m here to help your experience feel grounded and meaningful.

ELOPEMENTS
COUPLES SESSION

I’m an elopement photographer but I have a confession to make:

This might surprise you, but I haven’t eloped myself.

And that’s my secret. I don’t come into your planning journey with a mentality of “I wished I would have done it like this”.

Instead, I come as a blank slate and focus on the kind of day YOU want.

I’ve helped couples plan and live out their elopement days, and I’ve seen firsthand how freeing and beautiful this choice can be.

So even though I haven’t done it myself, I understand the emotional weight of what you’re stepping into.

I care deeply about helping you create space for it to feel real and peaceful to you.

I’m grateful that I get to witness not just the vows and the views, but the deeper sense of peace and connection that comes from choosing to elope intentionally.

We chose to have an elopement instead of a wedding so we could spend the day doing EXACTLY what we wanted.

We get overwhelmed with planning things and even when planning an elopement there is so much that needs to be done. Sara broke down the process in bite sized pieces and provided resources, guides and worksheets to make the planning not only pain free but really fun.

My fiancé and I would sit on the couch with our morning coffee and work through these guides and before we knew it, we had planned our entire elopement. And had fun doing it!

We had an idea of what we wanted our special day to look like, but Sara really helped make it very us.

A Little More About Me and What it Means to Be an Elopement Photographer

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m an introverted soul, with a lot of words, who’s most at peace exploring a new & short hike. Give me a place with a view and a hot chai, and I’ll know then that I’ve made it in life.

Honestly, I’m not sure how but nature has just always been a grounding force for me. It recharges and inspires me without fail.

And maybe it’s why I can’t think of a better place to begin your marriage than somewhere that makes you feel that good!

Some of my favorite places to photograph are Yosemite and Big Sur (and Iceland is at the top of that list too) where the landscape aren’t just backgrounds. They are literally part of the moment.

When I’m out in these places with you, I’m not just showing up with a camera. I’m bringing a plan that holds space for the important and unexpected moments, and probably a few snacks too (because who doesn’t love snacks!?).

Ultimately, I come prepared because I’m a planner who genuinely enjoys the details without losing sight of how the day is meant to feel.

I believe in creating a space where you feel free to be yourselves. Where vulnerability is welcome, where your vows sound like a conversation with your heart, and where you walk away feeling like, hey, that was made for us, through and through.

The best kind of elopement is the one that makes you feel on top of the world, not because of where you are, but because of the intentional memories you create along the way.

LET'S START THE CONVERSATION ABOUT YOUR DAY

Sara is amazing! She is organized and thoughtful. I am in love with our wedding photos! She picked out great places for photos at our location and didn’t mind getting a little wet with the rain. Some of the black and white images are my favorite.
